2021 Estate Pinot Noir

As you might expect from such a classic vintage, this is—well—classic. It’s svelte, poised and deep with layers of tangy cherries, mixed berries and sweet spice threaded through with suede tannins. The line and length are impeccable, and the balance of succulent fruit and savoury interest is compelling and moreish.

2017 Estate Pinot Noir

Hand-picked MV6 and Abel clones fermented separately with very different vinification, matured for 13 months in French oak (20% new). Deep, clear crimson-purple; powerful, deep and rich, yet no hint of over-extraction. Luscious plum and dark berry fruit tells you to take no liberties. Top stuff with a spicy savoury finish. Will live for many years on the pinot calendar. 96 points. James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

2020 Estate Shiraz

Another cool year! A modest, nuanced nose shows blueberries, blackcurrants, brambles and plums alongside spices such as cloves and nutmeg. These spill onto the palate with mulberries and black tea coolness. The structure is delicate with dry, chalky tannins and a fine slippery acid line that holds together through its unassuming length and persistence.
