Vintage: 2013 was a strong vintage on the Mornington Peninsula with clean crops of excellent quality
Colour: vibrant pale straw
Nose: White citrus blossom notes give way to an exceedingly complex nose of stone fruit, vanilla, spicy fennel, finishing with leesy complexity and hints of oyster shell.
Palate: focused to begin, the palate follows a powerful tight yet generous line with more dark spices. Opening to citrus, leesiness and subtle almond meal texture, the complexity continues to build. Finishing with great persistence, purity and length; this is a wine befitting of the hallmark ‘Eocene ‘.
Spice: touch of fennel, sweet spice
White citrus blossom/lemon grass
Depth and darkness in the spice, hints of lemon/barley
Integrated palate, leesy, almond meal texture
Long persistent palate, nice breadth and lovely acid structure, mouth- watering and refreshing
Complex clean finish
